EIC Accelerator 2026

Innovative startups and SMEs can seek a grant of up to approximately €2.5 million, with optional equity or quasi-equity investment for commercialisation and scale.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants include startups, SMEs, spin-outs, qualifying small mid-caps for investment-only support, and individuals intending to establish an eligible company. The applicant must ultimately be established in an EU Member State or an eligible Horizon Europe-associated country.

Companies based in non-associated countries may submit a short proposal but must establish or relocate an eligible company before submitting the full proposal.

Support available

• Grant funding below €2.5 million

• Optional equity or quasi-equity investment of approximately €1 million to €10 million

• Coaching, mentoring and business-acceleration support

Application process

The process consists of a short proposal, a full proposal, an EIC jury interview and grant or investment contracting. Short proposals may be submitted on a rolling basis. The remaining 2026 full-proposal batch deadline is 4 November 2026.
